Product Description of Water-Cooled Drum Cooler
The water-cooled drum cooler is a highly efficient and stable continuous indirect cooling device designed for high-temperature granular materials such as reclaimed sand, spent foundry sand, sinter, coke, and ceramsite. It is widely used in furan resin sand reclamation systems, resin sand production lines, foundries, metallurgical plants, and building material factories.
The equipment achieves uniform and rapid cooling of materials up to 800°C through heat exchange between internal circulating cooling water and material flowing inside the rotating drum. The discharge temperature is stably controlled at ≤60°C, meeting requirements for downstream conveying, storage, or sand mixing processes.
Equipped with fully enclosed structure, frequency control, and intelligent temperature regulation, the water-cooled drum offers high cooling efficiency, stable operation, easy maintenance, and energy savings—making it the ideal choice for high-temperature material cooling.
Working Principle
Hot material enters from the feed end of the drum. As the drum rotates slowly (1–5 rpm), the material moves forward along the inner wall in a spiral path. The drum has a double-shell structure with circulating cooling water flowing in the annular space. Heat is transferred indirectly through the drum wall. The heated water exits via the outlet, while the cooled material discharges at the end at the target temperature.
