Product Description of Furan Resin Sand Reclamation System

The Furan Resin Sand Reclamation System is an efficient and eco-friendly equipment designed for the recovery of used shell sand from hot-box core making processes. It removes residual resin, carbonized materials, and impurities through high-temperature thermal reclamation, restoring the physical and chemical properties of quartz sand for reuse in casting production.

Widely used in the production of precision castings such as automotive components, engines, valves, and pumps, this system is ideal for foundries using shell core technology at scale. Integrated with a counter-flow thermal reclaimer, cooling system, dust collector, and automatic control unit, it enables continuous, intelligent, and low-energy operation. The reclaimed sand reuse rate exceeds 85%, significantly reducing raw sand consumption and solid waste discharge.

Key Process Flow

Spent Sand Pre-treatment
Used sand is magnetically separated, crushed, and screened to remove iron residues, lumps, and large impurities for uniform feeding.

High-Temperature Thermal Reclamation
Spent sand enters a counter-flow thermal reclaimer, where residual resin film and carbon deposits are thermally decomposed at 850–950°C, restoring sand surface cleanliness.

Sand Cooling
Hot reclaimed sand is cooled to ≤60°C via rotary cooler or vibrating fluidized bed cooler, meeting downstream mixing and core-making requirements.

Dust & Exhaust Gas Treatment
Equipped with cyclone + bag filter and VOCs incineration/adsorption system to ensure compliance with emission standards.

Reclaimed Sand Storage & Conveying
Cooled sand is conveyed to storage silos and directly reused in mixers for core making—achieving a closed-loop cycle.
