Product Description of FTB Fluidized Bed Cooler
The FTB Fluidized Bed Cooler is a high-efficiency, energy-saving, and eco-friendly sand cooling system based on the fluidization principle, specifically designed for rapid cooling of hot resin sand, reclaimed sand, or coated sand in foundries. Clean cold air passes upward through a perforated plate, suspending sand particles in a "boiling" state within the bed, enabling full, uniform, and efficient heat exchange between sand and air. It rapidly cools sand from 100–120°C down to ≤45°C, meeting process requirements for subsequent mixing, molding, or storage.
The fully enclosed design combined with a pulse cartridge dust collector prevents dust leakage during cooling—ensuring compliance with national emission standards (≤5 mg/m³). The cooled sand exhibits stable temperature, uniform moisture, and excellent flowability, significantly improving mixing quality and molding efficiency. It is a core cooling component in the sand handling system of modern green foundries.
Working Principle
Feeding Stage
 Hot sand enters the fluidized bed via feed chute or pneumatic conveying, with sand layer thickness controlled by an automatic adjustable weir to ensure uniform distribution.

Fluidized Cooling Stage
High-pressure cold air, driven by a centrifugal fan + air filter, enters the plenum chamber and passes through a perforated distributor plate (or ceramic plate), suspending sand particles in a fluidized "boiling" state. Full contact between sand and air enables efficient heat transfer, with heat carried away by the air.

Discharge & Dust Removal Stage
 Cooled sand continuously discharges via overflow weir or adjustable gate to downstream conveyors or silos. Dust-laden exhaust gas is purified through an upper dust chamber + cartridge filter before emission, with dust recovery >99.5%.
Intelligent Air & Temperature Control
 Equipped with temperature sensors (inlet/outlet) + differential pressure sensors + VFD-controlled fan, enabling automatic airflow adjustment for stable, controllable sand temperature and energy efficiency.
